Get ready for a fashion extravaganza as Dior sets out on an exciting tour, and its first destination is none other than the iconic Selfridges in London! Despite the chilly winter weather, the city is about to be warmed up with a vibrant burst of color and creativity.
Dior is celebrating the launch of Jonathan Anderson's highly anticipated debut men's and women's collections with a unique takeover of Selfridges' Corner Shop. This pop-up experience, running from Thursday until February 28th, will showcase an unprecedented blend of Dior's menswear and womenswear collections on the shop floor.
The store design is a true homage to Dior's rich heritage, featuring the brand's signature gray boxes and an array of Book Cover totes inspired by Anderson's literary favorites. These totes, with their captivating designs, will be the stars of the show, drawing inspiration from classics like "Dracula," "Ulysses," and "In Cold Blood."
But here's where it gets even more exciting: the pop-up will offer a personalized touch! Visitors can add their initials to Dior bookmarks and notebooks, creating their own unique mementos. And that's not all - there's a weekly game designed specifically for this event, adding an element of surprise and fun.
The gray Dior boxes, reminiscent of the brand's first boutique, Colifichets, will be stacked and arranged in creative ways, creating an immersive experience. Some lucky visitors will even find a golden ticket inside these boxes, granting them access to exclusive gifts designed by Anderson himself.
Delphine Arnault, Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, emphasizes the significance of this moment, calling it "a very important turning point for the house of Dior." She highlights the imaginative decor and windows at Dior's boutiques worldwide, including the pop-ups at Selfridges in London and Le Bon Marché in Paris, as well as SKP in Beijing.
Arnault adds, "In the stores and pop-ups, the worlds of menswear and women's are joyfully merged, thanks to Jonathan's artistry and talent for reinventing our codes. This opens up captivating prospects for 2026 and beyond."
Judd Crane, Selfridges' Executive Director, Buying and Brand, shares his enthusiasm for this collaboration, stating, "The first Corner Shop of 2026 will offer a unique opportunity to experience Dior. We are thrilled to present an exciting distillation of Jonathan Anderson's first season as our exclusive partner for this creative concept."
The Corner Shop will feature a range of imaginative products, from refreshed DiorOblique leather goods and stylish sneakers to unique accessories like the Cigale bag, an ode to Christian Dior's iconic haute couture dress from 1952.
And this is the part most people miss: Dior's comeback at Selfridges! The brand's last event at the department store was the Dioriviera pop-up in the summer of 2021, so this takeover is a highly anticipated return.
But wait, there's more! Dior isn't stopping at Selfridges. The brand plans to transform New Bond and Bond streets into a colorful spectacle with 33 flags, each featuring an image of the Medallion chair dressed in the vibrant designs of the Book Cover totes.
So, fashion enthusiasts, mark your calendars and get ready to be inspired by Dior's creative vision. This tour is a must-see for anyone passionate about fashion and design.
